Atomos Neon series is the beginning of a new journey for filmmakers by bringing together traditional filmmaking roles and pairing it with Atomos innovation and technology. We do this by combining RAW recording with cinema display technology for monitoring, on-screen production checking and review of creative intent, story flow and matching continuity between scenes.

Neon streamlines the creative workflow from lens to viewing. We have adopted industry standard formats like ProRes RAW from major camera makers enabling the performance of ProRes and the flexibility of RAW into cinema productions and built for computer finishing. Neon performs real-time Dolby Vision processing to enable down-stream viewing on any Dolby Vision capable TV or monitor.

The Neon comes in 17”, 24”, 31” and 55” screen sizes, and complements other Atomos products such as the Shinobi SDI, Ninja V, Shogun 7 and Sumo 19 to provide a flexible ecosystem of field reference monitors. The Connections You Need
An ⅛” stereo mic/line input lets you record with your external microphones or other sound sources, and supplies plug-in power (2.5 volts). Connect headphones via the ⅛” headphone output with dedicated volume control. You can also use the H1n’s built-in speaker to listen to your recordings.

The H1n’s USB port provides a digital output of the stereo mix and allows data to be sent to and from your computer. It also allows the H1n to be used as a USB microphone and a microSD card reader.

The F8 is made for serious filmmakers and sound designers. With 8-input/10-track recording, super low-noise preamps, and support for 24-bit/192 kHz audio, the F8 captures the highest-quality audio.

F8 features an extremely low noise floor (−127 dBu EIN) and high gain (up to 75 dB), with +4 dB line inputs.

F8 can record at 24-bit/192 kHz resolution and is equipped with onboard limiters designed to provide overload protection. Limiting can be applied to all 8 channels simultaneously at full resolution, with 10 dB of headroom and controls for setting threshold, attack, and release.

Time code with pinpoint accuracy
The F8’s time code is state-of-the-art. It utilizes a Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator (TCXO) that generates time code at 0.2 ppm accuracy, enabling rock-solid syncing of audio and video.
